| Frequently
Asked Questions (FAQ's) |
|
| Is the privacy
statement legally binding, since cBizOne is free? |
Free or not free, stealing information
is illegal in US and many other countries. For example,
you can read
the lawsuit against Alexa (subsidiary of Amazon.com).
Alexa's free browser plug-in was not even stealing the user's
data, but it was transmitting the browsing/shopping habits of
its users to Alexa's computers without their knowledge. |
| As a user, how
can I find out what information is transmitted, and where it
is transmitted by cBizOne? |
It is actually pretty simple.
There are many "Packet Sniffing" applications in the
market. One example is Sniff'em from www.Sniff-em.com.
You can download the trial version. |
| Did any user
verified cBizOne using a packet sniffer? |
To our knowledge, one user verified
cBizOne using a packet sniffer.
I ran a packet sniffer,
and checked the outbound packets from my machine while cBizOne
was running. I saw only about 3.1k bytes sent to cBizSoft
-- once immediately upon starting the program, and then again
when the first email was sent out. I also sniffed cBizLook
and compared its outbound packets to those of MS-Outlook and
found no meaningful difference.
